Causes and solutions of depression in dogs
There are probably two reasons for dog depression: the cause of the pet itself, and the influence of the external environment.
1. The cause of the pet itself.
If your pet is timid, quiet, or not healthy enough, then such pets are prone to depression. They will be afraid of the arrival of strangers and become frustrated. They may also suffer from depression due to poor health and low self-esteem.
Timid dogs are prone to depression
Solution: The owner should take more care of and take care of his pets, and at the same time take more dogs out to improve physical fitness and overcome smallness.
2. The influence of the external environment.
The influence of the external environment is multifaceted, such as: sudden changes in the living environment, the addition of new members (pets or babies), and the owner leaving them alone at home when they are out. These can cause depression in dogs.
New members join to make dogs depressed
Solution: If it is caused by a sudden change in the living environment, first take the dog to adapt to the new environment and create an environment that is more attractive to the dog. If the joining of a new member causes the dog to feel depressed, let the dog familiarize with the taste of the new member in advance, and proceed step by step until the dog accepts it. Also, when you have a new member, don’t let the dog in the cold. If the owner leaves the dog alone at home when going out, causing the dog to feel depressed, you can leave enough food and toys for the dog before the owner goes out to pass the time and relieve the pain of missing the dog.
Pets are not toys, they need our careful care. As long as you give it a warm home and enough care, your dog’s heart will be very happy and will not be easily depressed.
